DeFabCo employs our own designers, fabricators, riggers, millwrights, pipe fitters, certified welders and sheet metal mechanics. Our typical shop and field services are focused at plant and process engineering, safety and environmental compliance, material handling and process automation. Our operation is based in Columbus, Ohio and is housed on a five acre complex with over 48,000 square feet under roof. Our staff has over 300 years of combined experience in the metal fabrication industry and they will utilize innovative designs to help meet the special needs and challenges of your organization. We have earned the Associated Builders and Contractors Gold Step Award in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Defabco is also a member of the Capital Area Safety Council and has received the 100% participation award in 2006 and 2007.

All of Defabco’s shop and field associates receive OSHA 10-hour training and can be trained to the OSHA 30-hour level. We also provide in-house training to our client’s specific safety programs so that we arrive at the job site safety trained and ready to work.

Our dedicated safety manual includes safe procedures for confined space, crane safety, fall protection, and lockout/tag out procedures. Our Safety Director holds training classes on all aspects of our manual.

Defabco’s new shop and field personnel are substance abuse tested prior to hire. All Defabco personnel are randomly substance tested. Our safety orientation contains an extensive section on substance abuse.

Defabco’s Safety Director performs on site safety audits and inspections for Defabco employees and our subcontractors. We will work with our clients to assure a productive and safe jobsite.
